Going away!

A nurse from my day job (which is actually my night job, because I work the night shift!) moved on to bigger and better things and a fellow nurse ordered this cake for her!

25 minute Wedding Cake

We had around 48 hours notice for this cake, and already had 3 cakes for that day! We fit it in (BARELY) somehow. They wanted a small two tiered white cake and they planned on adding flowers to it themselves. So, yes, it's a little plain, and slightly "blemishy" but hopefully the flowers took care of that problem!

Cake pops!

These pops were special ordered by the birthday girl herself! She set them all up in flower pots!

Willow Tree Angel Bridal Shower

This couple's wedding cake has a Willow Tree Angel as a topper so we made a butter cream version of it for the bridal shower cake. It turned out to be one of our favorite sheet cakes so far. Later the customer asked to have a little pink added to it but we didn't have time to get pictures!

Evie's 5th Birthday Cake!

Almost one year ago my young cousin and I undertook the task of making my niece a castle cake! Neither of us had ever really made a cake before but we bought some fondant and tried our best to make a castle! We spent half the time making little details out of fondant and cluttering up the cake but it was so much fun. And it pretty much started this whole Sugar High Makery thing! Friends started asking for cakes for their kids and once I started posting the cakes on Facebook orders started pouring in!

So this year we had to try to top it, which I think we did! Evie loves playing Candyland so we made her a giant Candyland cake!

Rodeo cake

This was a cake made for a one year old boy in a rodeo loving family! The top layer was made a little smaller so that the birthday boy would have his own smash cake!

Volcano!

We used red Squeeze Pop to make the lava. Little did we know that the stuff NEVER sets up! Half of it presumably leaked into the cake (which I bet the kids will love!) and most of the rest was on our countertop a few hours later! Still, a little bit clung to the cake and it looked cute!

WWE!

My brother would have loved this cake 20 years ago! The wrestling ring poles are made out of chocolate covered Cow Tails!

Peace!

I have been waiting to do a cake with this kind of theme. I love the little birds! This was out first attempt at covering a cake with chocolate ganache and it was so easy!

Beach/wine/Texas/Dolphins cake!

This was a last minute birthday cake and the only info we were given was that she likes the beach, wine, Texas and dolphins! The large island is shaped like Texas. The wine glasses are definitely not to scale but maybe she likes wine so much that she drinks it out of toilet-sized glasses!

Grave Digger!

Making this gravedigger out of frosting was a lot harder than I thought it would be! Luckily the customer loved it!

Dora

Okay, so yes I am a little obsessed with using the Frozen Buttercream Transfer method. But it is so easy, takes a lot less time and looks almost as good as fondant or gumpaste! Plus it tastes WAY better.
