Bud Light

This was our first real foray into the world of sculpting cakes! We used a Chocolate Beer Cake recipe just for the novelty of it. It wasn't the best cake for sculpting (or frosting!) and was kind of a pain. We decided to try "quick pour" chocolate fondant because we had all the ingredients. It basically poured very well.... all over the table. We ended up having to dye regular fondant brown. We had planned on taking hard candy mix and making the condensation on the cake by dropping little bits on waxed paper but we didn't want to waste a whole bag of candy mix just for that! So instead we used corn syrup and corn starch mixed together. It sort of looked like our cake fell victim to a sprinkler, but we think everyone will get the idea!
